Privacy Policy

Iqra Wartaq collects nothing about you. It has no accounts, no ads, and no analytics or tracking of any kind.

No accounts

The app requires no account creation or sign-in of any kind. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identifier.

What is kept, on your device only

• Your memorization progress per ayah (not started / in progress / memorized) and repetition counts.
• Your preferences: chosen reciter, appearance, text size, view, and default session settings.
• A history of the last places you read, so that you can return to them.
• Any surahs you have downloaded to listen offline.

None of this ever leaves your device, and uninstalling the app deletes all of it at once. There is no server-side copy.

How the app uses the internet

Reading the mushaf needs no connection. Recitation is streamed or downloaded from public file hosting (GitHub Pages and Cloudflare R2), and from the same places the app fetches two small files: the index of recitations, and a file holding the "About us" and "Our goal" text, the developer's details, and which versions are available in the store.

These are read-only requests for public files; the app sends no information about you or how you use it along with them. As with any internet connection, the hosting provider sees your device's IP address in its ordinary logs; we do not access or use those logs.

Nothing is shared with third parties

The app contains no analytics tools, no crash reporting, and no ad networks.

Permissions

The app asks for no sensitive permission: no location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or notifications. It uses the internet connection only to fetch recitations, as described above.

External links

The "About the developer" page in the app has links (email and profiles) that open in other apps on your device; what happens there is governed by those apps' own policies.

Children's privacy

The app collects no data from any user of any age, including children, because it collects no data at all.

Changes to this policy

If a feature is ever added that changes how the app handles data, this page and the date above will be updated before that feature is released.
